Amparo talks about the history of her family’s restaurants, all over the Mission, and how they traded off managing the businesses, after coming here in the 60s. She shares how they learned how to work the business together, and her memories of being in the kitchen as a child. She remembers the vision of her father, how he was a builder, how he was always trying things, how important the atmosphere was for him, and how he invented a machine to make cutting the menudo easier.
