About the event

Fifteen sculptural lanterns glow from storefront windows bridging Chinatown and the Mission District, each a papercut created by a Chinese or Latina immigrant woman. Together, these works illuminate shared experiences around workers’ rights, housing, public safety, and mental health.

Join Galería and the other partner organizations for a free scavenger hunt throughout San Francisco. Find 15 unique lanterns in Chinatown and the Mission District. Interact with the makers, gather trivia, and collect stamps for the chance to win prizes.

Fun, free, and family-friendly!
