About the event
The Latina Youth Leadership Conference (LYLC) is a free one-day event at SFSU designed to empower and inspire Latina middle & high school students through leadership development, cultural pride, and higher education opportunities. Through interactive workshops, guest speakers, and networking, LYLC provides a supportive space for young Latinas to grow, connect, and prepare for their future.
As an organization, we have a personal obligation to help improve the graduation statistics of Latina women by empowering girls to achieve success from a young age. Our overall objective is to encourage young girls to establish academic goals early on, allow our members to be a testament to academic success in higher education, and help young students navigate the intricacies of entering college.
