For the past 25 years, Lunada Literary Lounge has gathered on the full moon to honor spoken word, poetry, musica, and literatura. On its silver anniversary, Galería will instead gather under the new moon, holding three seasonal gatherings on April 17, June 14, and October 10, 2026.

About the event
Although shrouded in darkness, the new moon signifies new beginnings, limitless possibilities, and rejuvenation.This lunar phase allows us to set intentions with a blank slate, and give ourselves and our community moments to re-energize with art and the words of our community during destabilization and high anxiety.
Embrace the new moon. Celebrate creativity. Connect with community.
This season we will feature twice the features, music, vendors and a stacked open mic. The 2026 season kick off is on Friday, April 17th. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the remainder of the fest happening Sunday, June 14th and Saturday, October 10th.
