Join them for a dance film showing, panel discussions, an experimental battle, the Rebeaerth House Dance Party, and performance showcase featuring works by Embodiment Project & Be Movement Collective.
GET FREE is a Hip Hop Dance Festival rooted in the artistry of freestyling, battling, and healing through community practices. At the core of GET FREE is Hip Hop theater, battle culture, experimentation, and love for the Bay Area street dance community. Attendees will be able to experience a film showing, performance showcase, experimental battle, workshop, and dance party featuring fierce dance artists that push the form of Hip Hop dance-theater.
The electrifying showcase and battle at Dance Mission Theater bring virtuosic hip hop dance artists, choreographers, house DJs and film-makers to the stage, and includes new choreographic works by Lauren Benjamin and Nicole Klaymoon.
