About the event

The viola acts as a narrative voice, guiding listeners across shifting musical terrain tracing a journey of remembering, wandering and longing. Restrained instrumentation set amongst late-romantic and contemporary harmonic language allows resonance, color, and silence to take on active roles.

Angie Zheng 郑晴 is a musician, teacher, and artist from Shanghai. Her body of work in many mediums find common ground exploring memory, fleeting, and cyclical forms. She will be joined by Zoe Lee, Michael Long, Sung Choi, and Aaron Keller for this reflective night of listening.

Featured Musicians:

Michael Long, violin (CMC Faculty)

Aaron Keller, violin

Sung Choi, cello
