San Francisco’s Casa Sanchez to receive historical landmark status. Here’s why that matters for S.F.

The Casa Sanchez building in San Francisco’s Mission District is slated to receive historical landmark status for its contributions to the city and its Latino community, according to the San Francisco Latino Historical Society.

The designation will mark one of the first Latino-owned buildings listed for this honor, said Anne Cervantes, an architect and founding member of the San Francisco Latino Historical Society.
